Hovering only a few feet above the sea, I was just now taking pictures underneath the pier to document our new conservation project. It was genuinely fascinating to see the construction under work and the original piles, some of which dating back as far as 1899. As you can see from the photo, the view wasn’t bad either.
After surviving another ghoul infested Halloween and White Night this week, the pier has been busy with Channel 4 filming and Horatio’s Bar hosting a political debate with Brighton’s Green party leader, Caroline Lucas, amongst the MP’s attending.
Meanwhile, as the world’s population reached 7 billion within the last week, Brighton Pier’s Facebook reached 5,000 and the recently created official Twitter page reached 500; so thanks for the likes & follows and keep in touch…
Don’t forget you can have a FREE RIDE if you also follow the “Become A Friend” link on our website’s homepage.
Enjoy the bonfires and fireworks, folks!
