“True or false: Clint Eastwood is allergic to horses”.
The whole pub wasn’t sure whether I was joking or not as I continued to reel off the answers at the Pier Pub Quiz in Victoria’s Bar, Thursday. But sure enough, Clint Eastwood IS allergic to horses. “Suzie Q’s Team” knew the answer and ultimately ran away with the FREE RIDES & FREE MEAL at Palm Court prizes. The 2nd place team (who clairvoyantly named themselves… “In 2nd Place”!) also won 2 PREMIER TICKETS to the racecourse. Try reading out the results for that quiz though!
Talking of free chips… Peter James WON the ITV People’s Best Seller Dagger which means any fans can come down to the pier’s Palm Court restaurant at One o'clock today and grab some free chips, courtesy of Peter!!!
Meanwhile, as the new Ferris wheel on the sea front is almost up and running, the pier’s Booster is back from its annual checkup and ready for a busy Saturday evening as all rides will be £2 between 7-9pm tonight (weather permitting).
